ahh, Daniel Pearl, I was once banned by a certain UKTV torrent site for daring to post a link to the video of him being killed. I didn't force anyone to watch it, and didn't even watch it myself, but apparently I was almost as bad as his killers for doing so.

I had never heard about her before today. It's interesting she is also lived in Pittsburgh. I haven't even heard much about her here. But I think I am going to have to look into her more. She seemed a very interesting woman and brave as well.

He's only the guy who wrote the words to possibly THE most popular song in the world - Auld Lang Syne Very Happy And I'm off to the pub in a while to huv ma haggis' n' neeps 'n tatties and a wee dram o' single malt or 6

Well, seeing as how I never knew all the words and no one ever seemed to know what it was about when I asked them, I never bothered to find out who wrote it.

But I am glad I learned about him.

I think I know the tune better than the actual words.
However, I am looking forward getting to a library when I can and getting some of his poetry and finding out some more about him.

when you read it you'll see all sorts of words that you won't know - because he just made words up to fit the rhyme... haha

1966-Beaumont Siblings Disappear without a Trace
The Beaumont children's disappearance from a popular Australian beach launched what would become the largest police investigation in Australian criminal history. On a hot summer day in 1966, 9-year-old Jane Beaumont took her 2 younger siblings to a nearby beach; they never returned home. Police investigations revealed that the children had been seen with a strange man and later walking alone, but the case remains unsolved.
